Mary (Lody) Medina, 93, was born in Gardner. Colorado, on Aug. 2, 19224. She entered heaven's gates on Nov. 9, 2017. She is survived by her six children, Leroy Medina, Lorraine and Mike Davison, Eddie Medina, Gloria and Gene Tafoya, Vivian and Richard Cortez and Johnny and Anna Marie Medina; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; three siblings, Larry and Nancy Ortivez, Rita Delgado and Irma and Enrique Guzman; and a host of other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Medina (1996); and by her parents, Anastacio and Carmelita Ortivez. She resided in Colorado City and passed away peacefully in her home. Lody and Joe had their family Ranch in Maes Creek, Colo. Viewing, 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at Boies-Ortega Funeral Home. Rosary, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Sacred Heart Church in Gardner, with Mass at 11:30 a.m. Burial immediateyl following in Maes Creek, Colo., at the Valdez Cemetery, CR 620.
