Joe Porfie Archuleta, age 79 passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 21, 2018 at Spanish Peaks Regional health Center-Extended Care Unit in Walsenburg, CO. He was born February 26, 1938 in Walsenburg to Cirilio and Ofelia Archuleta. He worked for many years for Huerfano School District. He loved fishing, camping, and spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his two sons, Joe Porfie Archuleta, Jr., and Larry (Amy) Archuleta, brothers Olie Archuleta, Andy (Maggie) Archuleta and Leroy (Judy) Archuleta, and sister Lorraine Pacheco, grandchildren Kara Archuleta, Aaron Archuleta, Lena Archuleta, Emilio Archuleta and Katrina Archuleta, two great-grand daughters and one gerat-grandson. Numerous nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life for Joe Porfie Archuleta, Sr., is scheduled for Friday March 9, 2018, 4-7 PM, Eagles Hall, 614 Main St., Walsenburg, CO 81089.
