Obituary for Jeannette E. "Lil Miss" Booze (Patrick)

Jeannette E. "Lil Miss" Booze (Patrick)
Jeannette Patrick Linscott Booze was born in Pictou, CO on April 13, 130 to the union of Andrew Patrick, Jr. and Mary Visich. Later, the family moved to Tioga, CO where she lived until the age of 13. She graduated from the eighth grade at Washington School and finished her high school at St. Mary's, graduating with the class of 1948.
Jeannette had a very interesting and colorful career. She started to work at the Fox Theater when she was 16. After graduating, she also worked for Sporleder's, Don Haney Confectionery, Archie Levy Transfer and Storage, Charles Kemski Plumbing, 13 years at the First National Bank in Walsenburg, five years as City Clerk, eight years at Walsenburg Housing Authority, and 13 years as secretary/bookkeeper for Prague Public Schools in Prague, NE, retiring in 1992.
Jeannette was a people person. She loved people and spoke to them whether or not she knew them. She would always say, "You don't have to know people to speak to them." She loved life and loved to sing and dance. She loved to jitterbug and no one could keep up with her on the dance floor. Her family was her whole life. She was a kind and unselfish person. She would take from herself to give to her family and friends.
Jeannette is survived by her son, Thomas (Beatrice) Linscott; daughter Lillian (Kenneth) Medina; grandchildren Jana, Tiffany (Patrick), and Troy Medina, Sandy Iams, Annie Gonzalez, Delphine (Cedric) Rael; great-grandchildren Atalaya, baby Andrew, Jaydin, Jaxton, Phoebe, Jennifer, and Myranda; great-great grandchildren Jazleen, Joao, Jouquin, and Sophia.
Also by her sister-in-law Clara Patrick of Pueblo; nieces Geraldine and Linda, nephew David, and their families; step daughter Barbara (Dean) Delzer and grandchildren Adrianne, Mark, and Luke, and their families of Colorado Springs; her aunt Grace Visich of Wisconsin; brother-in-law Lawrence (Elsie) Booze of Fremont, NE, nieces and nephews.
She also leaves her beloved neighbor and angel, Theresa Martinez, who was, more or less, her caregiver; who was always checking on her and doing things for her, no matter what time of day or night. She also wants to remember her good friends, Mariam, Carmen, Margie, Diane Roloff, Dee Faye, Bertha Ragsdale, Diana Garland, Maine Pazen, Rose and Ron Garcia, Mary Joe and David Tesitor, Ida Martin, and others too numerous to mention.
Jeannette was preceeded in death by her beloved husband, Alvin Booze; her parents, Andrew and Mary Patrick; brothers Michael and Gerald; baby sister Mary; nephew Michael James Patrick; nieces Diana, Jessica, and Tristan Patrick; her first husband, Thomas Linscott, Sr.; and her most precious beloved partner and companion, her little dog girl, Cuddles.
A rosary was recited at St. Mary Catholic Church in Walsenburg, CO at 12:30 on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, followed by Funeral Mass with interment at North St. Mary's Cemetery.
