Our Mother Felia Montoya, 90-years-old left her loving family on Friday, April 13, 2018 at home in Walsenburg, CO. Our Mother was born July 5, 1927 in Yellowstone, CO. to the late Seferino and Josephine Aguirre. She married the late Gilbert Montoya and had six beautiful children: Gilbert Montoya (Rose), Elizabeth Salazar, Diana Mae Montoya, Roberta Aguirre (Art), Doris Montoya, Darlene Pino (Simon), and our sweet Dana Vigil (Chuck).
Our Mother had 15 Grandchildren, 36 Great Grandchildren and 20 Great Great Grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. Numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Felia was a lifetime resident of Walsenburg, A graduate of Walsenburg High School. Our Mother held multiple positions of employment at one time to support her family. She gained employment with the Walsenburg Care Center in 1962, retiring in 2010 after 48 years of service. The compassion and love for the residents kept her joyful and committed.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, kind thoughts and support in many heart-felt forms from many people. A special thank you to all.
