Obituary for Shirley Jean Patton

Shirley Jean Patton was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado June 29, 1931.
She was a long time resident of Walsenburg.
Shirley entered the gates of Heaven on August 24, 2019 at the Sharmar Village in Pueblo.
Her sisters Carol Sue Hammond Melvin of Colorado, and Jaycine Hammond Patchin of California will miss her greatly.
Shirley loved her animals, especially her Dogs Pepper and Angel. Shirley would walk her dogs daily, picking up trash. She had a rabbit and another dog when she lived in Aguilar, Co., she fed the birds outside her homes she had lived.
Shirley had a caring heart, she would send yearly birthday, anniversary cards, get well and sympathy cards when she heard of someone not feeling well or someone that past on and also holiday cards yearly. Shirley always wanted to give, even if she didn't have alot, in her heart she didn't need much as long as her dog had food and vet care.
Shirley enjoyed going shopping with her Sister Sue and friend Tonnie. She enjoyed going to Pueblo to visit her niece in-law, Shirley always thought of her as her family.
Shirley loved going to church, she felt no matter the weather, a person should be at church on Sundays. Shirley would help clean the church inside and weeds outside. Donating any supplies and time, she could.
Shirley always talked about her sisters, brother in-laws, mom, nieces, nephews and friends.
Shirley had a challenge with life but never gave up on the LORD, he was her savior.
