JoAnn Elaine Sandoval went to be with her Lord September 5, 2017. She was born November 19, 1953 to Ray and Martha Sandoval. She had one brother, Gerald "Jerry" Sandoval. JoAnn graduated from Walsenburg High School. She enjoyed helping people and ran the Domestic Violence Elimination Program in Walsenburg. JoAnn Always had a smile on her face and a kind word for anyone she met. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She adored her friends. She adored her nieces, Rachel and Nichole, as well as her four legged children. JoAnn attended Church of God in Christ Jesus and enjoyed her church family. JoAnn lived in Walsenburg, where she was cared for by her loving husband, Larry. JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Martha Sandoval and her brother Gerald "Jerry Sandoval. JoAnn is survived by her husband Larry Lovett, sister-in-law Chuky Sandoval; nieces Rachel (Rick) Sandoval, Nichole (Jeff) Dickinson, and Leanne Lucero; nephew, Jack (Angela) Ortiz, great nieces and nephews, Jack, Derrick, and Daisha Ortiz, MaKayla Lucero, and Julia Dickinson; uncles and aunts, Xavier Sandoval, Sonny (Dixie) Sandoval, Rachel Sammon, Della Smith and Dora Wilkins; as well as numerous cousins. Cremation has taken place per JoAnn's request. Services are to be held September 23, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Church of God in Christ Jesus at 205 W. 10th Street in Walsenburg. Burial to follow at St. Mary's South Cemetery.
