Obituary for James T. "Jim" Herman

James T. "Jim"  Herman
Mr. James T. "Jim" Herman, formerly of Wynne, Arkansas, died in Walsenburg, CO on November 21, 2017.

Jim was born in Wynne on June 2, 1929 to Johnnie James Herman and Fannie Pauline Howell Herman. He was an electronics Technician. Jim served his country in the U.S. Air Force Band and tuba player. He married Lillian "Lynn" McEntire Herman in August of 1951. They played music together professionally throughout their marrage. Lynn preceded him in death in September of 2017.

Jim and Lynn moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1970, making that their home for 33 years, and in 2003, they returned to Wynne. Jim was a member of the Wynne Music Club and a member of the Wynne Presbyterian Church. In 2008, they moved to Colorado.

He is survived by his son, James Michael Herman (Kathy) of Florida; daughters, Leslie H. Severance (Carl) of Colorado, Lilian S. Herman of New Hampshire, C. Ennis Perrino (Dennis) of Colorado; his sister, Bridget Hart McElroy (Sonny) of Wynne, Ar; seven grandchildren, Sherry, Matthew, Jim, John, Jackie, James and Wyatt; and six great-grandchildren. His grandson, Sean, preceded him in death in 2014.

Services were held in Wynne, AR on November 30, 2017 at Kernodle Funeral Home with Rev. Mike McCracken officiating; interment was at Cogbill Cemetery in Wynne.

A celebration of life will be held at Gardner Community Center on Saturday, January 13, from 2 to 6 pm.
