Obituary for DALE MONTE CLEMMENSEN

DALE MONTE CLEMMENSEN
Dale Monte Clemmensen passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2017. He was born February 13, 1964 to Melvin and Mary Ann Clemmensen. From the day Dale was born, health challenges existed. He attacked each one of them with a strength and ferociousness few possess. He did more with less than many people ever do. He was known to be a hard worker. At times, Dale worked three different jobs to make ends meet because he was determined to do life on his own terms. From his wheelchair, he managed the city dump, sold AVON products, and in the last several years, worked at the ACORN and TA Truck Stops where he was loved by his fellow employees and customers. Dale was an inspirational friend and mentor to many people. He had a natural ability to know when to listen and when to provide words of wisdom. Dale enjoyed reading and discussing books with anyone who shared the love of reading with him. He was preceded in death by his father Melvin; grandparents James and Beryl Clemmensen and Earl and Angelina Roberts, and his beloved pets, Sophie and Dottie. He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Clemmensen; sister Sharon Clemmensen; brother Barry (Michele)Clemmensen; nieces Ashley and Lacey Clemmensen and nephew Wade Clemmensen; and by his uncle, numerous aunts, and cousins. He is also survived by his many friends of the Walsenburg community who greatly enriched his life, A Celebration of Life will be held in Dale's honor on September 16, 2017 at the Walsenburg Community Center at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the local animal rescue, Los Huerfanos Animal Welfare Association, P.O. Box 409, Walsenburg, CO 81089. Please join the family to celebrate a life well lived.
