Obituary for Cheryl Lynnn Summers (Musilli)
On Tuesday, September 12th, 2017, heaven gained a true angel.
Cheryl Lynn (Musilli) Summers passed away at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center, after being at St. Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo for many weeks. She was surrounded by all her loving family. Cheryl was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, and by her parents.
Many who knew Cheryl, can understand she was a precious human being, and yes our angel. Cheryl was a fun, loving, caring, happy person, who found love in everyone and everything. She enjoyed life, and although it challenged her along the way, she was a strong, determined woman until the end.
Cheryl was born April 19, 1948, in Walsenburg, the daughter of the late Josephine and Danny Musilli. She was the oldest of three siblings. She graduated from St. Mary Catholic School in 1966. Cheryl married Hank Summers (Henry III), on July 21st, 1973, and three years later their only son Eric was born on July 23rd 1976., Cheryl was the life of every holiday, or family gathering. She loved her family, but worshipped her three granddaughters each and every day. She loved her pets as well, especially her "Cricket".
A private family ceremony will be held to celebrate Cheryl's life and memories. In addition, the family of Cheryl would like to take this time to thank the staff at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center for so much love and compassion for Cheryl. Special thanks to Gina Vialpando, Sherry Gomez, and Bobbie Jo Colistro-Trujillo.
